Meet Everest, Merlin & Lucky: Three Goats, Three Personalities

Life is never boring when your adventure companions have four legs, horns and plenty of personality!

At Keegan's Pack Goats, our three goats are much more than part of the show. They're our companions, our hiking partners and the stars of our educational demonstrations.

Meet Everest, Merlin and Lucky!

Everest: The Clever One

Everest is our white-and-multicolored goat and the only purebred Alpine in the trio.

Smart, observant and always curious, Everest has a special talent for figuring things out, especially when peanuts are involved!

While the other goats are busy enjoying their hay, Everest knows exactly where to find David.

There's usually a good chance that one more peanut is waiting in his pocket.

Merlin: The Fearless Youngster

Merlin may be the youngest and smallest of our three goats, but don't let his size fool you.

This adventurous youngster is courageous, curious and always ready to explore.

We wouldn't be surprised if Merlin eventually becomes our string leader, the goat who confidently leads the team behind its human guide.

Merlin and Lucky are half-brothers, sharing the same father.

Lucky: The Big Brother

Lucky is the oldest and biggest member of our goat family, and he certainly has the most impressive beard!

Unlike the others, Lucky was raised by his mother and was already weaned when he joined us.

His friendship with David developed gradually through patience, shared time and plenty of affection.

Today, Lucky is our easygoing big brother, happy to approach life at his own relaxed pace.

Growing Together, Learning the Trail

Although they have very different personalities, Everest, Merlin and Lucky share a love of exploring and learning.

Through training, outdoor adventures and everyday experiences, they continue to develop their skills and strengthen their bond with us.

And when we bring them to fairs and festivals, visitors get to see those personalities firsthand.
